Louet Jane

Description

The Louet Jane is the perfect 8-shaft table loom with manual control of the shafts. You control the shafts manually with toggles, thus having unlimited choice of shaft combinations.

The Jane is available in the following weaving widths: 40 cm (15 3/4”), 50 cm (19 1/2”) or 70 cm (27 5/8”).

You can fold the Jane flat, with the warp on, and lock it in a folded position for easy transportation. With the Jane 40 and Jane 50, there is a handle on the side of the loom to make it easier to carry. The folded loom is 14 cm (5 1/2”) high.

The large shed makes it easy to throw a boat shuttle or pass a flat shuttle. The overhead beater is designed for maximum weaving area, and even beat. The cords run entirely over rollers and wheels, so wear is minimal. Because the reed tray stays backwards, you have an optimal jump.

The Jane is made of clear varnished beech wood and has a built-in equator.

Louet Jane table loom is delivered partially assembled with:

• A stainless steel reed 40/10 (about 10 dents/inch)
• Texsolv heddles (205 mm), depending on the weaving width:
  • Jane 40 with 200 heddles (2 bundles)
  • Jane 50 with 300 heddles (3 bundles), and
  • Jane 70 with 400 heddles (4 bundles)
• Cross and tie slats (2 lease and 2 apron sticks).
• 16 beam warp sticks.

The Jane can be placed on a table or on a floor stand which is sold separately.
