Weaving workshops at the Museum of Fine Arts

The Lyceum of Greek Women in Herakleion successfully organized weaving workshops for children and adults at the Heraklion Museum of Fine Arts.

The Lyceum of Greek Ladies in Herakleion continues its mission to preserve and promote Greek heritage through its various cultural events. On June 1st, the organization hosted a series of weaving workshops for children and adults at the Herakleion Museum of Fine Arts. The workshops, held in conjunction with the exhibition “Αρωδαμοί και Ασπάλαθοι” provided participants with an opportunity to learn about traditional Greek weaving techniques and create their own unique pieces.

Ms. Zoe Papadaki guided participants through the process of creating woven items using natural materials such as wool and cotton. The workshops were open to people of all ages and skill levels, and participants were encouraged to experiment with their creativity.

The event was a resounding success, with participants of all ages expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to learn about this traditional Greek craft. The Lyceum of Greek Women is committed to continuing to offer such educational and cultural events, and we encourage everyone to visit our website or social media pages for information about upcoming events.
