Handmade beeswax Easter candles workshop
The workshop on making handmade Easter candles from beeswax, organized by the “Woman and Child” department of the Lyceum of Greek Ladies in Heraklion, was a resounding success on Saturday, April 20. The workshop was supervised by Ms. Zoe Papadaki, a weaving instructor at the Folklore Department.

For the candles, sheets of natural beeswax were used, which were decorated with designs inspired by Greek folk tradition. The designs were painted and embroidered on wooden perforated ornaments.
